Gutters should be cleaned 2-3 times per year
Neglected gutters lead to overflows and damage
We recommend that homeowners clean their rain gutters at least twice a year. For most homes, one cleaning in spring and another in the fall should be sufficient. For homes completely surrounded by trees that fill the gutters quickly, you might need to clean them 4 times per year. Either way, DON’T DELAY. Record storms have hit the United States this year, and the unpredictable weather means your homes gutters must always be ready. Your home needs to be protected against the damages rain water can create. A little overflowing on one portion of your gutters that isn’t fixed can quickly lead to costly home repairs as well as hard to repair erosion of your foundation, and damage to the landscaping surrounding your home
