Neglected gutters lead to overflows and damage

We recommend that homeowners clean their rain gutters at least twice a year. For most homes, one cleaning in spring and another in the fall should be sufficient. For homes completely surrounded by trees that fill the gutters quickly, you might need to clean them 4 times per year. Either way, DON’T DELAY. Record storms have hit the United States this year, and the unpredictable weather means your homes gutters must always be ready.  Your home needs to be protected against the damages rain water can create.  A little overflowing on one portion of your gutters that isn’t fixed can quickly lead to costly home repairs as well as hard to repair erosion of your foundation, and damage to the landscaping surrounding your home

  1. I wouldn’t have guessed that overflowing gutters could cause so much damage. I wouldn’t want to have to deal with water damage on my house though, so cleaning my gutters sounds like a good idea. I should consider getting someone to clean them for me so that I don’t fall off the roof or something.

    1. You are correct. Dealing with a flooded basement or any kind of unexpected water damage is no fun! An ounce of prevention always helps. The GCB Tools are designed to be SUPER STRONG, YET LIGHTWEIGHT, so anyone can use them. Thanks for your comments, have a good rest of the evening.

  2. Gutter cleaning is like this overlooked issue that has been the bane of more than one home’s foundation. Do you guys still suggest cleaning gutters twice a year even if there are no trees surrounding the property?

    1. If you have a home with no trees directly surrounding it, you will be less likely to have debris in the gutters. It is always a good idea to inspect your gutters several times a year to keep your home protected from potential water damage.
